Colourful world

This painting symbolizes two worlds: one full of light, colour and life and one drowned in darkness.

Maybe it sounds naive, but I have the dream of a world without violence, without war, and without s*xual crimes. And I think you have the same dream. A world where no one is hurt because of being vulnerable, where dignity is not a privilege but a birthright. Too often the most vulnerable and weakest individuals are targeted and become victims. 

But despite everything we’ve seen, we refuse to give up hope. Because we know, that change is possible. We’ve seen it in people who broke the cycle and in survivors who turned their life around. Survivors like Natasha Kampush, Viktor Frankl and Malala Yousafzai. Maybe you know one of them.  Millions of people in this world want change in a positive direction. Millions of us long for a better world. So we are together in this. We are connected with our pain for a change. And thats where our power is. We can indeed mak a difference by supporting each other and talking about the darkness and the light in this world and taking action.

Therefore: Every voice matters. Even every thought can matter. You are not useless. You are already making a difference by wanting it. Every act of courage, every refusal to stay silent, pushes the world a little further towards the light.

This painting  is a reminder. A call to believe, to hope and a call to dream.
