Marriage of 9 year olds (Flexi Case)

Recently we heard that Iraq will release a law, which allows the marriage of 9 year old girls to adult men. It already happens in illegal ways but with a system enabling those crimes, the children don’t stand any chance at all. Legal and systemic SA is happening. If even their government is hurting these children, who will protect them? The law is failing them in their own country, so lets be the only ones who dont fail them. We need to talk about this issue and we need to make clear that it is wrong to not protect the child but instead expose the child to a lifetime of r*pe. Usually we are called to do everything possible to avoid s*xual assault of our children, but here, they are being offered up like prey. They are sacrificed to the desires of grown men. 

This painting is to show what children really care about. They are thinking about toys and exploring the world. The burden, that the goverment puts on them is not even imaginable in their reality. And it should not become imaginable. The hands are coming from behind, without the girls noticing them. Everything is done to harm them not to protect them.
