Golden Soul

This is not just a golden rose. This rose is a representation of the soul. The soul of us and especially of innocent people who had to face terrible situations. This is not to glorify anthing but to make clear, that these people were never the problem or at fault. Especially often victims of s*xual assault or abuse believe that they are somehow responsible for the terrible act, that happened to them. They feel guilt, shame. The black parts on the rose, are the damage caused. But as you can see, these are vanishing and after vanishing, there will not be any visible change to before. I dont want to say "you must heal otherwise you have the damage", I just want to say: "you can heal, it is possible" as we saw that over and over again. Maybe this picture can remind you, that there is a way, there is healing and most of all I want this painting to remind you that:  your soul is always golden and beautiful. No matter what. You will always be a human being, whose soul will shine.
