Caroline Darian is the daughter of Gisele Pelicot. Like her mother, she too was allegedly drugged by her father and likely abused. She says: "I am a forgotten victim in this case."
Even though the court could not do her justice, Caroline decided not to stay silent. She wrote a powerful book in which she tells her story. A story of pain, of being overlooked, and of surviving in silence. But her story is also one of transformation. Despite everything she went through, Caroline turned her suffering into something meaningful. She chose not to let the trauma define her but instead used it as fuel to bring awareness and light to others.
One of the most shocking aspects she reveals is how unprepared and unaware many doctors are when it comes to recognizing signs of abuse or covert drugging. No one, not a single medical professional, realized what was happening to her mother. That silence, that failure, is part of what fueled Caroline’s determination to speak out and why we urgently need to talk about her case.
Her story is a sign of hope and strength. It's a reminder that even in the darkest places, truth can rise. Caroline is no longer a forgotten victim, she is a voice for others who still have none. And through her courage, she urges us all to look closer and ask harder questions.
