This is one of my most famous paintings. I created this painting because of the arising restricting rules for women in Afghanistan. One rule is that they cannot dress how they want. They are forced to cover completely. This picture therefore portrays the wish to dress differently than the forced dress code. And also the wish of more freedom. The wish to decide for the own life, the own dress and career.
