Symbol of Medusa

Medusa was never a monster.

Her story echoes the painful truth of so many survivors in our world, who face not only trauma but also isolation, disbelief, and rejection from those around them.

For centuries, Medusa’s pain was twisted into fear and hatred. She was cast as a monster, her voice silenced and her suffering misunderstood. But beneath the legend lies the truth of a survivor, a woman who endured unimaginable pain and yet remained unbroken.

Medusa’s gaze, once feared, is now a symbol of fierce strength and resilience. She reminds us that trauma does not define us, our courage to survive, to heal, and to reclaim our power does.

I see in Medusa not a monster, but a warrior for anyone who has ever been silenced, shamed, or made to feel less than human.
