We are souls not meat - blue

Too often, when I hear the way some men speak about women, it doesn’t sound like they’re describing a human being. It sounds like they’re describing an object. Something to be used, owned, or discarded. Not someone with thoughts, emotions, dreams, and pain.

But women are not things.

We are not bodies made for consumption.
We are not trophies or possessions.

We are human beings with hearts that feel deeply and souls that reach beyond what the eye can see. We carry memories, love, fear, wisdom, power. We are alive, in every sense of the word.

We are not here for your entertainment.
We are not here to be broken down into pieces, judged, rated, or controlled.
We are whole.
We are sacred.
We are souls.

I have the dream that one day the whole world could learn to see us that way, then, it would stop trying to silence us, shame us, or destroy us.
